Rotterdam Rules - Pros and Cons Seminar
On the 23rd September 2009, the new Rotterdam Rules were signed by 15 Nations, including the US. Once the rules have been ratified into domestic law by 20 Nations, the rules will come into force one year later.
This seminar will explore the Pros and Cons of the Rotterdam Rules, how they will replace the Hague Rules, the Haque-Visby Rules and the Hamburg Rules and whether they will achieve legal certainty and uniformity with regards to the carriage of goods by sea and connected transport.
